US Debut of Dkoko Bikinis

DKoko Bikinis Makes United States Debut

Costa Rican Swimwear provides sizzle to Health and Fitness Magazine’s Annual Style Show

HOUSTON, Texas (May 27, 2010) – The hottest swimsuit fashion trends of the season graced the Houston runway for Health & Fitness Sports Magazine’s fourth Annual Swimsuit Fashion Show, May 26 at 6 p.m. This free event at Champps Americana featured several of the models and fashions from the magazine’s May Swimsuit Issue, including DKoko Swimwear’s new Summer 2010 line of bikinis.

DKoko swimwear was launched in Costa Rica by two gorgeous surfer girls, Michelle and Veronica. The girls wanted a suit that looked sleek and sexy yet would stay on while riding the surf. They both have an affinity for fashion and went to school for design in San Jose, Costa Rica. DKoko can be found in Costa Rica at the legendary Piko's Surf Shop (where the Surf Pros shop). The Summer 2010 line is bright, colorful and flirty for fun at the beach. It has south of the border of flair which makes the line much spicier than traditional swimwear you may find around town.

Misty Marlow, 2010 Swimsuit Issue cover model and 2010 Miss Swimsuit USA International modeled DKoko’s new line in the fashion show. All head’s turned as Misty strutted the Costa Rican inspired swimwear line. DKoko’s suits bare more skin but stay on even in the hardest surf. Several local boutique owners were abuzz about the unique style and functionality of the suits. Although Dkoko is not currently available in US stores, plans are set to hit racks this summer.

Stay in Costa Rica was a proud sponsor of this event, adding to the Latin America spice for the evening. Guests were invited to peruse the latest issue of the company’s magazine featuring spectacular surf sites and destinations and accommodations.
