In 2006, the Houston Polo Club commemorates the 78th year of its founding. As it was in the late 1920's and the early 1930's when the founding fathers of the club won the National Inter-Circuit and Twelve-Goal Championship Cup for five consecutive years, Houston is again the Polo Capital of the Southwest, home to the Stanford Group USPA Silver Cup and the USPA Western Challenge.
